Scotland loves local Market 12th August

In support of the Scotland Loves Local campaign, Hamilton Market will be rebranded as the ‘Scotland Loves Local Hamilton Market’ on the 12th August. We’ll be on Quarry Street, operating the usual times of 10am – 4pm. Whilst this event’s focus will be the market and will not be a full-blown Gala Day, we will still have a range of excellent entertainment on the bandstand and the likes of jugglers, free style football and our outdoor play area on the street. As usual we aim to use the market to project a positive image of the town centre, supporting interest in the town and, as a result, extra visitors. Our association with the national loves local campaign is hoped to enable our messaging to reach a larger audience. In addition and as usual, we aim to increase footfall on the day to add to the 11,000+ extra visitors year on year recorded since March through our work with the market. Businesses who are able to take a stall on the day will also benefit from direct income with no stall fee.

Stall availability for this date is low and therefore if you have not already signed up for your free stall, please get in touch now to secure your stall by contacting malcolm.thomasharley@hamiltonbid.org

July 28th marks the start of our Pride celebrations with a fantastic drag show at the Townhouse. We have VIP tables at the front of the theatre perfect for a team night out! The tables can sit 10 guests, and we will provide 5 bottles of wine on the table and we’ll even throw in feather boa’s too! Single seats are also available South Lanarkshire Leisure & Culture Online Bookings (sllcboxoffice.co.uk).

Don’t forget, you can find out more about the events at the end of July by downloading our Pride Guide…and it’s not too late to be included! If you are hosting an activity in support of Pride SL, get in touch and we can add you to the guide.
