AGM Tuesday 22nd April – come along and find out more.
We’ll be hosting our AGM at 2pm on Tuesday 22nd April in the Regent Centre. If you’re a business owner / or work in one of the businesses within the BID area, we would be delighted to welcome you along. At the AGM we review our activities, what has been achieved so far versus our plans, alongside future activity. It’s also a great opportunity to network with other business owners and managers.

Clean up:
We are delighted to hear that a Spring clean has been confirmed for the town centre given the reported issues with graffiti and the general look and feel of the area – dates to follow.
Quarry Street road opening:
We are pleased to hear that the Quarry Street road opening will ‘remain in force’ following a successful launch in 2024, generating a 3% increase in visits to the street. Between Jan to Feb 2025, we have recorded a 7.6% increase in visits to the street generating an estimated +20,000 additional visits year on year. (Source Place Informatics). We are also delighted to note that 14 out of 17 zones within the BID area recorded positive increases for the start of 2025. (Source Place Informatics).
Footfall report:
Year on year footfall within the BID area remains ahead of the national average for the first 2 months of the year. Hamilton +1.8% versus Scotland +0.1%. . (Source Place Informatics).
Whilst challenges persist, this measure over the past year has seen ongoing positive results (2024 +2.2%). Given the loss of some footfall generating nationals as an example, actions such as the road opening, increased events, and a significant uplift in business access to our digital marketing, may have supported positive results in relation to footfall.
Easter Gala:
Our annual Easter Gala day takes place on the 19th April along Quarry Street. More information can be found on this event on our website Hamilton Easter Gala Day! – Hamilton BID

In addition to our digital marketing, we have plans to introduce radio advertising to support awareness and footfall driving.
