Christmas activity and new festive website

For the remainder of this week, we’re providing you with early access to our new festive season website, that will be launched and promoted from next week. https://hamiltonchristmas.my.canva.site/ Currently the site is being updated, however early access provides you now with a look at the likes of our feature page AND the towns event schedule which this year will include our Light Switch on, Christmas markets, our free panto, Town house events and a new Hamilton Comic Con.

This new site includes links to our business listings pages on our main website and will also feature regular business profiles through the season. Last year our festive guide was accessed over 8k times and this year we hope to exceed this figure through the provision of this one stop shop with info on our festive events and activities. If you would like your business or organisation to be included on the feature section, please get in touch. info@hamiltonbid.org Profile features will be rotated through the festive season dependent on how many requests are received.

Hamilton loves Christmas week…Get involved…

This year, as part of our festive campaign we will be promoting a new Hamilton Loves Christmas week. The campaign will focus on the people that own, manage and work in the town centre alongside the local businesses and organisations that provide the town with their valuable services through the year. The week will run between 2 key festive event dates, 16th – 23rd November and we’ll be using our photography and socials to celebrate the people and businesses that make up our town centre business community. If you would like involved, please email info@hamiltonbid.org

Footfall update

According to our footfall provider, the BID area continues to outperform last year by an estimated +1.9% year to date. Our estimated year-to-date position also continues to outperform the Scottish national year on year footfall performance. Data currently indicates that the areas focused around the former pedestrianised section of Quarry Street have performed positively versus last year, particularly over the summer period. This may be a result of the current 30min parking trial. (Figures are estimated using mobile device data provided by Place informatics).
