B2B Newsletter: 10th October 2020

Hello Hamilton,

I am Malcolm, you’re new Business Improvement District (BID) manager. I wanted to take this opportunity to reach out with information that may support your business through these challenging times.

Business Improvement Grants: this grant can be used for external improvements of your ‘shop front’. Businesses pay 50% of the costs of the work with the other 50% covered by the BID. T&Cs apply. If you need any further information, please use this link to email me direct.

eMarketPlace: this new platform provides you with the opportunity to sell and promote products and services online. Access to this platform has been acquired by the BID and is free for businesses to set up and use. As we are facing uncertain times where physical visits remain subject to ongoing restrictions, it is really key that businesses make the very most of online opportunities. Please get in touch with me if you want to get your products and services online. We can help to set you up – and provide you with access to our toolkit to help manage your pages.

Digital Media Opportunities: Hamilton Our Town’s Facebook page has almost 6,000 followers – and it is growing. The content we gather ensures we feature businesses on this platform every day – with additional content published on our support channels. These include our Blog (launched just before lockdown that has more than 2,000 users across 170 cities in 32 countries) as well as Instagram and Twitter. We also deliver the town’s free Wi-Fi service and have a customer database of more than 12,000 subscribers. We share regular e-shot updates to help promote the town and all that’s on offer. We have also just launched Hamilton’s very own YouTube channel where I will be sharing message updates ongoing. Please click on the image below for my first …

If you want us to spread the word about your business – again, please get in touch.

Further support grants are available through South Lanarkshire Council:

  • Small Business Support Grants
  • South Lanarkshire Business Recovery Grant
  • South Lanarkshire Business Growth Grant

For more information on these, please follow this link or email the Council direct – business.support@southlanarkshire.gov.uk

Christmas is coming …

I have many years experience working in retail – and am very aware that we are in unprecedented times as we count down to Christmas 2020. We will be working hard on your behalf to promote the town and all that it has to offer in the festive season.

Whatever ideas you have for your business or for the wider town – or if I can be of help in any way – please get in touch. I’d be delighted to hear from you. Thank you.
