Saturday 7th of August Hamilton was the first of four Hamilton BID markets held in the town’s Quarry Street. The purpose of these new markets led by the businesses and the BID is to drive additional footfall into the town centre and re-engage the public with their town.
We were absolutely delighted by the level of engagement from local businesses and the public alike with the amount of support evident in the uplift in footfall and spending within the town on the day.
We were really happy to see the town buzzing once again with positive sales results within the area driven by live entertainment and the market that included several town centre businesses and great levels of engagement and collaboration. We are hoping that the rest of the dates in August build upon the success of Saturday the 7th’s and we look forward to seeing many more of you enjoying this new and vibrant market right in the heart of our town.
