Now that’s entertainment!

A thriving market town, Hamilton has had a reputation for great entertainment since at least the 1780s when the Hamilton Races were first staged.

The town features eleven family-run public houses, the Vue cinema, the Townhouse theatre, the Bar 147 snooker hall, the ever-popular ROC nightclub and several states of the art amusement arcades.

Family leisure facilities include ice-skating at the Hamilton Ice Rink, swimming at the Hamilton Water Palace, the Hamilton Palace Sports Ground and the rowing facilities and training centre at Strathclyde Park. There are also regular race days at the Hamilton Races from May to September each year.
