Business News: Non-domestic rates revaluation:

We are aware of a forthcoming non-domestic rates revaluation taking place 1st April 2023. Every non-domestic property in Scotland will be revalued on 1st April 2023 and we wish to highlight that draft RV’s will be available to view from 30th November via this link www.saa.gov.ukIt will be important, (even if you do not pay rates just now) to check your new R.V and if it has increased, challenge this via the appeals process. The appeals link is not yet live on the SAA site but will become available we are told shortly.

Clearly in this challenging climate any increases to rates will not be welcomed and we encourage businesses to check and challenge this when the details become available.

Christmas events:

Our Christmas events start 26th November and we have packed the day full of entertainment and activity in efforts to draw additional footfall to the area over the 3 event dates. We encourage lots of business participation and whilst the market is now full there are other opportunities to get involved in what will culminate in our 7th event date in a 9 month period this year.

As a reminder the road will be closed from 6am to . to 8pm Saturday 26th Nov and 6am to 6pm 3rd December and 17th December. Thanks for your support with this and if any issues with access please get in touch at malcolm.thomasharley@hamitlonbid.org
